Officer Michael Campion was on patrol in Yorktown with his canine partner Spar, who was recently inducted into the force, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on Monday, June 18, on Route 6 when he spotted a vehicle allegedly being operated with an obstructed view, prompting a traffic stop in the area, officials announced on Monday.

During the traffic stop on Route 6 in Yorktown, an investigation into the driver, Mount Kisco resident Angela Chrysandreas, 33, with an assist from Spar, found that she was in possession of heroin and marijuana. She was subsequently arrested at the scene and charged with a misdemeanor count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Following processing on the charges, Chrysandreas was released on $120 cash bail. She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on July 19 to answer the charges.
